Toyota leaks roadgoing iQ and Urban Cruiser

We weren’t expecting Toyota to a) turn the iQ into reality so quickly and b) keep the production car so close to the original concept but here it is in all its showroom floor glory. The new Toyota iQ city car will get its first public outing at the Geneva Motor Show having been unveiled as a concept as recently as last September’s Frankfurt show. It measures less than three metres in length but can carry three people in comfort, with room to spare to accommodate a child or luggage, as per the concept car. There’s no word on the technical specification yet, however. Toyota, meanwhile, is also debuting a new “environmentally responsible… Urban Cruiser SUV,” as well as a new plug-in hybrid prototype and two new concept cars: the Toyota 1/X and a new flexi-fuel machine.
