More seats for Nissan’s Qashqai

Nissan’s popular Qashqai SUV is about to be even more in demand now that a new 7-seat version is set to go on sale. It's called the "Qashqai+2" and boasts a wheelbase extended by 135mm, a 38mm higher roof and 211 mm of extra overall length. The third row of seats are for occasional use only and fold flat into the floor when not it use, while the rear doors have also been made bigger to make it easier to get people in and out of the back. Nissan has also added extra under-floor storage and extra equipment such as standard rear privacy glass. The Qashqai+2 engine range mirrors that of the SWB version so two petrol and two diesel engines will be offered, as well two transmission choices and the option of all-wheel drive for those in need of a little more traction on occasion.
